  • The New Millennium Program will develop new spacecraft that will radically reduce costs and provide an affordable way to explore the universe and the earth's environment.

  • An Aeronautics initiative with the US aircraft industry aimed at developing Advanced Subsonic, transonic and supersonic technology.

  • The international space station, key to the future of human exploration of space, has been completely redesigned to lower costs. Other large programs including Cassini, EOS, AXAF have achieved major savings through design improvements.
