PRESIDENT CLINTON NAMES DEAN R. O?HARE AS A MEMBER OF THE ADVISORY
COMMITTEE FOR TRADE POLICY AND NEGOTIATIONS
President Clinton today announced his intent to appoint Dean R.
O?Hare, as a member of the Advisory Committee for Trade Policy and
Negotiations (ACTPN).
Mr. Dean R. O?Hare, of Far Hills, New Jersey, is Chairman and Chief
Executive Officer of the Chubb Corporation. Mr. O?Hare began his career as
a trainee with Chubb in 1963, became Chief Financial Officer in 1981and CEO
in 1988. Mr. O?Hare is President of the U.S. Coalition for Service
Industries and Vice Chairman of the U.S. Council for International
Business. He is a Governor of the World Economic Forum (Davos) and
immediate Past Chairman of the U.S. India Business Council.
Mr. O?Hare graduated from New York University in 1963, where he
received a B.S. in Financial Management. In 1969, he received an M.B.A.
from the Pace University Graduate School of Business Administration.
The Advisory Committee for Trade Policy and Negotiations provides
overall policy and advice on matters concerning objectives and bargaining
positions before entering into a trade agreement and other matters arising
in connection with U. S. Trade policy. ACTPN has Broadly Representative of
key sectors and groups of the economy, particularly with respect to those
groups which are affected by trade.
