PRESIDENT CLINTON NAMES COLONEL ROBIN UMBERG AS A MEMBER OF THE U.S.
MILITARY ACADEMY BOARD OF VISITORS
The President today announced his intent to appoint Colonel Robin
Umberg as a member of the Board of Visitors at the U.S. Military Academy.
Colonel Robin Umberg, of Villa Park, California, grew up as the
daughter of a veteran of three wars and was recently selected as Commander
of the 6253 United States Army Hospital Reserve. She was educated with a
four-year military scholarship, served on active duty for twelve years with
Asian and European overseas assignments, and was activated during the Gulf
War.
Colonel Umberg received a B.S. in Nursing from the University of
Maryland and a M.S. in Health Care Administration from the University of
Northern Colorado.
The U.S. Military Academy Board of Visitors annually visits the
Academy and conducts inquiries regarding morale and discipline, curriculum,
instruction, physical equipment, fiscal affairs, academic methods, and
other matters relating to the Academy.
