On-going CDC collaboration in Africa has focused on the following areas 1) Research 2) Emergency Response 3) Public Health Infrastructure Development and 4) Training and Support. Africa serves as an excellent example to learn and exchange ideas. A good foundation has been established, and progress in many important areas is underway.
