Drug abuse prevention and treatment funding at SAMHSA

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration also assist in stopping the spread of HIV through its work on substance abuse and mental health services. Included within its funding for substance abuse prevention and treatment services is a special program for encouraging increased efforts by substance abuse service providers to support HIV prevention efforts with their clients.
