VICE PRESIDENT GORE AND BIG THREE AUTOMAKERS SHOWCASE NEW HIGHER-EFFICIENCYVEHICLES

THURSDAY (3/30/00)



Washington, D.C. -- Vice President Gore will join the big three automakers in Washington, D.C. at the Ronald Reagan Building on Thursday, March 30,2000 to mark the achievement of the first milestone in the Partnership for a New Generation of Vehicles (PNGV) research program.  Concept cars from all three automakers -- capable of getting 80 miles to the gallon-- will be on display.
