On Monday morning, President Clinton will hold a bilateral meeting with President Zedillo and senior officials from both governments. The two leaders will discuss ways in which our two nations can strengthen our close partnership through continued cooperation in expanding trade, deepening democracy, controlling illegal drugs and migration, protecting the environment, and responding to natural disasters. President Clinton and President Zedillo will also finalize negotiations on a number of important cooperative agreements in these areas.
After their bilateral meeting, President Clinton and President Zedillo will travel to the Peon Contreras Theater where they and members of their Cabinets will sign a number of important agreements. Following the signing ceremony, both leaders will deliver remarks to the assembled audience.
After the speech, the President will meet privately with the Mexican and U.S. Congresssional delegations.
