President Clinton's Trip to Spain, Poland, Romania, and Denmark

On Friday, July 4, President Clinton departed on an historic nine-day trip to Spain, Poland, Romania and Denmark. During the trip, President Clinton will participate in the 1997 NATO Summit, visit with a variety of European leaders, and work to build on the vision and strategy for post-Cold War European integration that he laid out at the 1994 NATO Summit. Specifically, President Clinton is using the trip to promote an agenda of political integration around our common democracies, economic integration around free markets and security integration around military cooperation. Visit this site during the week for regular trip updates, including briefings, remarks and event information.
