Lowest overall crime rate in 25 years

Passed the Brady Law to stop nearly half a million felons, fugitives, and domestic abusers from getting guns. Enacted a tough crime bill that funded 100,000 community police officers and banned assault weapons--helping to reduce the overall crime rate for the seventh year in a row, the longest consecutive decline ever recorded.
