Every year, the Christmas tree in the Blue Room is a favorite attraction for the tour goers. For Christmas 1993, in celebration of the year of the American Craft, artisans from around the country were invited to contribute ornaments for the Blue Room tree, using the theme of angels. The tree skirt was hand-made by quilters from each of the 50 states and territories, and over 1,000 artists contributed to the Christmas display.
