PRESIDENT CLINTON NAMES GEOFF BACINO AS A MEMBER OF THE NATIONAL CREDIT
                           UNION ADMINISTRATION

President Clinton today announced the recess appointment of Geoff
Bacino as a member of the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA). Mr.
Bacino was nominated to the Senate on July 26, 2000.

Mr. Geoff Bacino, of Springfield, Virginia, is currently the President
of Bacino and Associates, a lobbying and public relations firm.
Previously, Mr. Bacino was a lobbyist for the Credit Union National
Association. He co-founded the National Association of State Chartered
Credit Unions and served as executive director of the National Association
of Share Insurance Corporations.

Mr. Bacino attended Rock Valley College, and received a B.A. from the
University of Indiana.

Established as an independent agency in 1970, NCUA has three
fundamental missions: regulation of credit unions, which choose to be
chartered by the Federal Government; furnishing federal deposit insurance
through the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund to all federal
credit unions and to state-chartered credit unions which choose to be
federally insured; and, chartering new federal credit unions.
