                     STATEMENT BY THE PRESS SECRETARY


     First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton will travel to Israel to represent
the President at Leah Rabin?s funeral.  She will express the condolences of
the American people to the Rabin family and the people of Israel.  From
Israel, she will travel to meet the President in Vietnam.
