President Clinton Names Two Members to the President 's Commission on Drug-Free Communities (11/18/00)

     The President today announced his intent to appoint Dr. Mubashar A.
Choudry and Allan M. Dabrow, Esq. to the President?s Commission on
Drug-Free Communities.

     Dr. Mubashar A. Choudry, of Bethesda, Maryland, is a consultant
cardiologist at Georgetown University Hospital and is on the teaching
faculty of the Georgetown University School of Medicine.  He is President
of Advanced Cardiology Associates in suburban Washington, D.C. and is
President of the Medserve Foundation.  In addition, Dr. Choudry is a
consultant at a number of hospitals in the Washington area and is a
frequent speaker at national and international cardiology conferences. Dr.
Choudry received his education in Pakistan.

     Mr. Allan M. Dabrow, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, practices law at
Schnader, Harrison, Segal & Lewis, LLP, where he is Co-Chair of the Firm?s
Labor Relations and Employment Law Group.  He has more than twenty-three
years experience representing management before local, state, and federal
agencies responsible for the administration of labor and civil rights laws
affecting employers and employees in union and non-union work environments.
Mr. Dabrow has also represented and counseled management on collective
bargaining, complaints of discrimination and harassment, wrongful
discharge, workplace drug, alcohol and privacy issues, benefits, mergers
and acquisitions and other human resource policies and strategies.  He is a
member of the Executive Committee and Co-Chair of the Civil Rights
Committee of the Anti-Defamation League, a member of the Board of Governors
of the Golden Slipper Club and Charities and serves as Vice President of
the Golden Slipper Uptown Home for the Aged.  Mr. Dabrow also has served on
the Board of Trustees of the Walnut Street Theater.  Mr. Dabrow received a
B.S. from the College of Emporia and a J.D. from the University of

     The President's Commision on Drug-Free Communities advises the
President and the Director of the Office of the National Drug Control
Policy (ONDCP) concerning matters related to the activities carried out
under the Drug-Free Communities Support Program, including plans to prevent
and treat substance abuse among youth.
