PRESIDENT CLINTON NAMES FREDERICK SLABACH TO THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
HARRY S. TRUMAN SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION
The President announced today his intent to nominate Frederick Slabach
to the Board of Trustees of the Harry S. Truman Foundation.
Mr. Frederick G. Slabach, of Long Beach, California, is currently
Interim Dean of Whittier Law School, where he is also an Associate
Professor of Law. Previously, he was Assistant Secretary of Agriculture
for Congressional Relations and Counsel to the Secretary of Agriculture and
served as Legislative Cousel to former Senator John C. Stennis. Mr.
Slabach was a Harry S. Truman Scholar when he was an undergraduate.
Mr. Slabach received a B.A. degree from Mississippi College, a J.D.
degree from the University of Mississippi School of Law, and a L.L.M. from
Columbia University School of Law.
The Harry S. Truman Scholarship Foundation is a bipartisan foundation,
which awards scholarships to persons who demonstrate outstanding potential
and who plan to pursue a career in public service.
