EXECUTIVE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT OFFICE OF MANAGEMENT AND BUDGET WASHINGTON, D.C. 20503
STATEMENT OF ADMINISTRATION POLICY (THIS STATEMENT HAS BEEN COORDINATED BY OMB WITH THE CONCERNED AGENCIES.)
April 10, 1997
(House)
H.R. 1003 - Assisted Suicide Funding Restriction Act of 1997
(Rep Hall (D) TX and 118 cosponsors)
The President has made it clear that he does not support assisted suicides.
The Administration, therefore, does not oppose enactment of H.R. 1003, which
would reaffirm current Federal policy prohibiting the use of Federal funds to
pay for assisted suicides and euthanasia.
