Application Procedures
OMB conducts annual spring recruiting visits to many graduate
business and public policy schools for entry-level permanent and summer positions.
Opportunities are best for graduate students in public policy, public administration,
business, information systems, computer science, economics, law, or a related
field. Students may discuss employment opportunities with an on-campus OMB recruiter.
Check with your placement director for when these visits are scheduled.
Permanent Positions:
Certain materials are required to receive consideration for
a specific position. Each job vacancy announcement
specifies, in detail, what materials are required in your application package.
Summer Employment:
Each spring a limited number of graduate-level students are
hired as summer interns.
Candidates may submit the following materials to the address
given below, or arrange to talk to an on-campus recruiter as mentioned above.
Résumé, writing sample, and general inquiries may also be sent via Email to
OMB_Recruitment@omb.eop.gov.

- Copies of undergraduate and graduate transcripts
- Writing sample (1-3 pages)
