WASHINGTON, DC - - The President and Mrs. Clinton are hosting the Right Honorable Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and Mrs. Blair at a White House Official Dinner on Thursday, February 5, 1998. Prime Minister and Mrs. Blair will arrive at the North Portico at 7:15 p.m.. Guests will be received by the President and Mrs. Clinton, and Prime Minister and Mrs. Blair in the Cross Hall of the White House. Following the receiving line, the President and Mrs. Clinton will escort Prime Minister and Mrs. Blair into the East Room for dinner. The tables in the East Room will be set with Eisenhower gold base plates; the Reagan china will be used for service. Kennedy Morgantown crystal and gold vermeil flatware will be set on terra cotta damask tablecloths. The vermeil and silver historical candelabra centerpieces will be surrounded by amaryllis, ambiance roses, timeless roses, leonidas roses, and hypericum berries with gold tapered candles. Following the dinner, guests will be entertained in a tent on the West Terrace by the performers Elton John and Stevie Wonder.
