First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton tours the ancient city of Perge in Turkey. One of the most spectacular coastal towns in Turkey, Perge is where St. Paul delivered his first sermon, and the birthplace of the mathematician Apollonius, the father of geometry. Mrs. Clinton visits Aspendos, known for its well-preserved theater, which seats 15,000 and is still in use today. Perge's first settlement dates back to 1000 B.C. Mrs. Clinton tours the Antalya museum in Antalya, Turkey. With the ancient Aspendos amphitheater as a backdrop, the First Lady speaks about the importance of cultural preservation. The First Lady delivers a speech at the OSCE Summit in Istanbul on combating the trafficking of humans, particularly women and children.
