Alexander Yakovlevitch Livshitz
Deputy Head of the Administration of the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation
Born on September 6, 1946 in Berlin, Germany
Graduated from Moscow s Plekhanov s Institute of National Economy with a major in mathematical economy. For almost 20 years was a professor in Moscow Machine-Tool Institute. For the last few years has held the Chair of the Department of Economic Theory, and Fundamentals of Free Enterprise.
Professor, holds the degree of Doctor in Economic Science. Thesis on the economic policy of the Reagan Administration.
Author of one of the first textbooks on market economy. Published numerous articles on the problems of economic reforms.
From 1992 to 1994 worked in the analytical institutions of President s Administration.
From 1994 to 1996 was an Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation on economic issues and communication with the Government.
From August, 1996 to March, 1997 - Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation.
From March 1997 - Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation.
Married, has two daughters and a granddaughter.
