Today, President Clinton returns to Gaborone, Botswana from the ChobeNational Game Park. In Gaborone, the President participates in a 45-minuteroundtable discussion on African environmental issues with a group of sixAfrica experts specializing in wildlife management, biodiversity,desertification and energy. During the discussion, the President hearsfrom these experts about the environmental issues of greatest concern tothe African continent. The President underscores America's work to assistAfricans in their efforts to develop and manage their resources in asustainable fashion and to cope with environmental change. After theroundtable, the President delivers remarks on environmental issues relevantto the United States and Africa.
